- Technician scanned for faults codes and had misfires across all four cylinders as well as a fault for the intake air temperature sensor. As a starting point, spark plug and IAT sensor were recommended for replacement. Upon removing the spark plugs from the engine, cylinder 1 spark plug has a broken ground post. Removed all four spark and used bore scope to inspect cylinder. Clear damage to cylinder walls of cylinder 1. A compression test confirmed there is no compression at cylinder 1 and low compression on cylinder 2. Recommend engine and possible turbo replacement. Customer declined repairs at this time and is towing vehicle to the dealer the vehicle was purchased from.
