Technician scanned for fault codes and found oil pressure codes saved in system. Customer informed that oil change was just done at another shop. Tech suspected issue with oil filter. Removed oil filter and found the cage inside the oil filter cap to be missing, and oil filter sitting loosely inside oil filter housing. Oil filter should be snug fit to the cap, around the cage. Technician replaced oil filter cap with new oil filter. Technician also found drain plug leaking oil profusely. Found drain plug to be oversized. Original plug is 12mm, oil pan was drilled, tapped and helicoiled for a 14mm bolt. Hole was tapped at an angle, not allowing bolt to seal properly. Recommend replacing oil pan by next oil change due.
